OPI Color Paints Swatches and Review
Today I have swatches of the OPI Color Paint collection! They are "blendable" polishes that are supposed to melt easily together, to allow you to use your nails as a canvas and create easy nail art. They are designed to be applied over a silver base, (which makes the color brighter) but I prefer the jelly-effect and thought I would share what they look like without the silver basecoat.
The colors are really pretty and represent almost every color of the rainbow. I used 3 coats for each polish except the silver and yellow. The finish is jelly-ish but not as sheer as a jelly. I was hoping the darker colors would be more sheer but unfortunately they are not. I may try to make my own sister jellies by mixing with sheer polish.
Indigo Motif
Landscape Artist
Chromatic Orange
Pen & Pink
Purple Perspective
Magenta Muse
Turquoise Aesthetic
Primarily Yellow
Silver Canvas Base Coat
I really love the look of Primarily Yellow and Pen & Pink and wish I could achieve the same effect with the darker colors, but they are trickier to work with and can come off patchy or streaky (when trying to achieve a sheer look). They do look great if wearing as a regular polish though and are extremely shiny.
Overall these are a lot of fun to play with. The colors blend really well together. It does take some practice to get the hang of using these, the formula is more gooey/sticky than regular polishes. I was able to create a very easy look by applying a base coat and simply dropping dabs of a second color on top.
The Color Paint Collection will be available very soon at retailers that carry OPI.

China Glaze Road Trip 2015 Collection - Swatches and Review
Let's take a road trip baby!!!
Hey beauties. Today I'm sharing the road trip collection with you. The set consists of 12 cremes with 4 of them laced with hidden shimmer.
Here are quick swatches of each color. I grouped them together to compare and contrast differences and similarties. I started with the peaches and brights. From left to right: Wanderlust, Pack Lightly, More to Explore, and Pinking Out the Window,
Wanderlust - 3 coater lilac with hidden pink shimmer. Surprise favorte!
Pack Lightly - Light peach creme with hidden gold shimmer. Very cute and classic 3 coater.
More to Explore - Gorgeous peach 2 coater. I love this one!
Pinking out the Window - dusty but bright pink creme. Another suprise favortie!
The next 4 in the collection were my least favorites because I have polishes similar to them. From left to right: Sun's Up Top Down, Trip of a Lime Time, Pop the Trunk and I Brake for Colour.
Sun's Up Top Down - sunshine yellow creme with pink shimmer. Another 3 coater.
Trip of a Lime Time - baby food pea green creme. Two coater but too familiar.
Pop the Trunk - bright orange creme 2 coater.
I Brake for Colour - tomato red/coral 2 coater. This color is so similar to Pop the Trunk I almost mixed them up. It's really difficult to tell the difference.
Next are my absolute favorites from the collection!!! I'm in love with these blues! From left to right: My Way or the Highway, License & Registration PLS, Boho Blues and Dashboard Dreamer.
My Way or the Highway - dusty yet bright teal creme 2 coater.
License & Registration PLS - vibrant medium blue creme, 2 coats.
Boho Blues - periwinkle blue 2 coat stunner.
Dashboard Dreamer - baby blue with hidden pink shimmer 3 coater.
This is a gorgeous collection for the Spring.I'm in love with the blues and peaches in the collection. The red, orange, yellow and green were my least favorites because they are too familiar. The collection is all creme so there are probably several dupes out there but Boho Blues is definitely worth considering. Overall this set Screams Spring!
The polishes are available online now. I purchased this set from Transdesign.com. I haven't seen them in retail stores but I'm sure they'll arrive soon.

Christmas Manicure - Waterless Water Marble
Christmas is almost here! My where has the year gone? I really planned on creating several Christmas manicures but I've been so busy lately. And my schedule is always thrown off whenever I go on vacation. Nevertheless, I was able to create this nail of the day using a simple waterless marble technique.
The colors I chose are: Wet N' Wild White, Orly Green Apple and Nicole by OPI Berry Sweet. I added a Christmas sticker on my thumbs (Viva LA Nails) for a little flare.
I really like how this turned out. Easy, fast and cute. You can't beat that combination!
I hope you all are having a great week!!! Thanks for stopping by :)

NYC Crystal Coutoure Fashion Queen Collection
Hey Beauties! Today I have a few of the NYC Crystal Couture Collection to share with You. The collection consists of 6 shimmering shades that can be worn alone or as top coats. I have 3 of the six shades.
From left to right: Queen's Jewels, NY Princess and Rule the City.
Queen's Jewels - Green base with bright green microglitter. I used 2 coats over white.
Rule the City - Grey base with silver and red microglitter. I used 1 coat over grey.
NY Princess - Dark purple base with medium light purple hex glitter and blue microglitter. I used 1 coat over dark purple.
All of the polishes have a medium consistency but went on thick enough to stand as a polish alone instead of a top coat. NY Princess (purple) was the thickest of the three and my favorite from the set. I think these will be great for the Fall and the green reminds me of the Christmas season. One of the best things about these polishes is the price point, at $1.99 it's easier to afford more.
I don't have a release date for the collection but they will be available at drug store chains that carry NYC. Hopefully they will appear in your area soon!

Barielle Swatches
Hey lovelies! Today I have a few Barielle swatches to share with you. I wanted to try a few colors that would be great for the Fall since the colder months are right around the corner. So I chose a blue, red, neutral and pink, because I wear pink year round!
Berry Blue
Gorgeous 2 coater blue creme. I've been loving blues a lot lately. The formula was a little on the thin side but not watery. Just thin enough to give it a slight jelly finish. It applied smoothly in 2 coats.
Fifth Avenue Boutique
Pretty in pink almost neon cream. I was surprised at the brightness of the formula but it's a great transition color into the Fall. Also a 2 coater.
Dancing Till Dawn
Vampy true blood creme. Perfect for Halloween season. The formula was similar to Berry Blue where it's a creme, but thinned out to provide more gloss. Very pretty and also a 2 coater. I see now in pictures, I could have used 3.
No Not Now
Grey-ish pink neutral with a slight hint of shimmer not visible on the nail. A true where anywhere color. I think this is one of the better neutrals for my skin tone. Also a 2 coater.
The formula on the cremes I choose were a little thinner than I expected, but that allows the finish to be more jelly-like and provide a higher gloss. Application was smooth with no lumps or clumps. And I was able to get away with 2 coats on most of them (after taking a picture I noticed Dancing Till Dawn could have used a 3rd coat). This is my first time trying Barielle, outside of their glitter polishes, and overall I really like them.
Barielle polishes can be purchased at Barielle.com. They also have a feature that allows you to try on their polish according to your skin tone.
That completes my swatches. I hope you guys enjoyed!

So Fierce!
I've had this beauty in my collection for a while and only decided to whip it out recently. Who can't fall in love with a name like So Fierce. But the color is what first got my attention. Sporting a fuchsia base with light blue and gold glitter and micro shimmer. The neon looses it's effect once applied over a creme polish but it's still beautiful.
I usually only use the Insta-Dri's for stamping but I decided to try this as a base. I applied one coat over Berry Sweet. A dusty red/berry creme that stains like it's nobody's business.
I love how this turned out!

OPI Brazil Spring and Summer 2014 Collection - Swatches and Review
Hello everyone! Today I have the OPI Brazil Collection to share with you. Starting with quick swatches of the Brazil Sands. All of the polishes were 3 coaters, but the yellow (You're So Flippy Floppy) was surprisingly a 2 coater. They are pretty flat but the colors are still pretty. My favorite is the purple (Somebody Loves Purple).
I Just Can't Cope-acabana is a beautiful canary yellow creme, opaque in 3 coats. This was one of the stand outs in the collection for me.
Kiss Me I'm Brazilian. I love this one just for the name. A pretty girly pink for the Spring. Opaque in 2 coats. I like here :)
Where Did Suzi's Man-Go? Another pretty color for the spring. I used 3 coats but could have gotten away with 2. I also love this color, maybe not the most unique, but really pretty.
Toucan Do It if You Try. Two coat coral. I'm sorry but my camera is really changing the color here. Please see the video on this collection for better color accuracy.
Live Love Carnival. Similar to Toucan but I like it better. My camera is changing the color again but it's more of a hot coral, if that makes since. I know some are in love with this color but the 2 corals are my least favorite from the collection.
Toucan and Live Love Carnival side by side for comparison.
Don't Bossa Nova Me Around. I'm not sure how to describe this color it's light grey with a hint of pink/purple. Very pretty and I think this would look great on most skins tones. I used 3 coats.
Taupe-less Beach - Similar to Bossa but 3 to 4 shades darker. The formula was also slightly thicker and only needed 2 coats.
I Saa Paulo Over There. Another great creme that falls in line with Taupe-less Beach. I used 2 coats.
Next Stop...The Bikini Zone. Grey/violet shimmer finish. I needed 3 coats to make it opaque. In the bottle it almost looks duochrome but sadly it's not.
Amazon...Amazeoff. Gorgeous and absolutely my fave from the collection! This is the most unique to my stash. Be careful because it stains quickly, even when only swatching I got stains. I used 2 coats here. Teal creme with a pearlesque finish.
OPI Scores A Goal! Pretty but not very unique. Almost a dusty burgundy opaque with 2 coats.
Red Hot Rio. I'm not a fan of red but I really love this. So shiny and sheer it's almost a jelly. I used 2 coats and it has a lot of gloss going on without a top coat. Another fave from the collection.
The Brazil Collection is available now at retailers that carry OPI.

NOTD and Nail Stamping Tutorial
Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in sooooooooooooo long. To be honest, I've just been a little lazy and kicked back for the summer. I've been in permanent vacation mode, LOL.
My nail of today is a look I completed with a combination of nail stickers and nail stamping. The stickers (middle finger) were purchased from my local beauty supply store. I created the stamped images with Pueen 36, from the Love Elements Set, purchased from Amazon. Base colors are Zoya Dana, Wet N Wild White and Finger paints Black Expressionism. I also stamped with the same Finger Paints Black and Konad White.
I have on 3-4 layers of polish to help create a protective layer over the nail. It helps prevents nail chipping and tearing at work.
And here's the nail stamping tutorial. Check it out to see how I created this look.
Thanks for stopping by!
