NOTD: Golden Rainbow Flowers

I wanted to share yesterday's mani with you. I started out with a muted green but wanted to make it more vibrant. I added a nail foil on top then stamped with Cheeky image plates, the 26 bundle, using Sally Hansen insta-dri in Pronto Purple. The ring finger is accented with Claire's glitter crackle polish.

A closer view to show details. The foil crinkled slightly but still looks good underneath the stamping. It reminds me of the foil used to wrap Hershey's kisses.

I hope you like this design. Until next time, Happy Polishing!

Marbled Zebra Design

Happy Saturday! Just wanted to share my NOTD. It started out as a marble foil but I wasn't happy with the design, so I stamped over it using Konad plate M57. I stamped diagonally half zebra and half leopard. It looks much better now.

Happy polishing! Thanks for stopping by.

Colorful Butterflies

Happy Thursday! Just a quick post to share a mani a did for a Facebook nail art contest. The theme was do-it-yourself. I would normally do a stamping mani but I wanted to switch things up a bit and go with a foil. I want to convince the world that foils are easy to do!

Thanks for stopping by. Off to do my homework :(

I Feel Like I'm Fallin' for Fall Nail Foils

Hello gorgeous! Hope you're doing well tonight. I wanted to share a foil design I did a week or so ago. I was trying to show how you can accomplish different effects with nail foils by changing the base color. The effect is not as strong as I had hoped, but if you look closely, you may notice that the background of the foil gets darker from the index to the pinky. The effect is seen mainly through the flowers (white, silver, brown, black).

I choose white, silver, brown and black for base colors.

This is the free foil I received for purchasing 4. I probably would have never picked it myself but I like it because it puts me in the mood for the Fall. It has a silver base with gold & orange accents.

In other news, I'm slightly behind in responding to comments (sorry about that). I've been working 10-12 hour days with little sleep. I have to get up at 5am and my body, and mind, just isn't built to function that early in the morning, lol. I'll respond to your comments very soon. Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a great week!

NOTD: Flower Power

A quick post to share my NOTD. These are nail foils over Sally Hansen White-On polish. I ordered them from Jenny Sells Foils on Ebay after watching a youtube video.

The foils come on plastic rolls/straws so they're not damaged in transport.

I also ordered a second floral design, butterflies and lace. The gold & silver foil was a free gift because I ordered 4 designs. Yay!

I applied them like regular foils but I let the glue sit a little longer than normal. I usually let it dry for about 2 minutes but I waited 3-4 minutes instead.

I think they turned out pretty good. Hope you like them!
