Nicole by OPI Holiday Glitters Collection 2011 - Swatches and Review
Snowman of My Dreams - bright sapphire blue gliltter with scattered pink glitter highlights. I did two coats just for fun but 3 coats should allow complete coverage.
My Sleigh's in the Shop - Pretty and sparkly magenta glitter. This one was a little thicker and only required 2 coats.
Glitter in My Stocking - Sweet gold glitter with scattered red highlights. My second favorite! Three coats.
Orna-ment for Each Other - OPI describes this one as a tomato red glitter and I must agree. The tiny golden glitter wakes up the flavor. Two coats and I was done.
I'm glad OPI went outside of the traditional color zone and decided to mix things up a bit for the Holidays. Snowman of My Dreams is my favorite from the collection and can easily be worn throughout the year. My next favorite was Glitter in My Stocking. The burst of red adds more interest to the golden glitter. My Sleighs in the Shop and Orna-ment for Each Other are also nice. All of the polishes had a great application and layed smoothly against the nail without being chunky. They can also be layered over similar colors to allow for less glitter coats and easier removal.

Nicki Minaj Collection by OPI - Press Release
OPI Partners with Platinum Recording Artist Nicki Minaj to Launch Limited Edition Lacquers
OPI announces the launch of six new limited edition shades inspired by hip hop sensation Nicki Minaj, including a purple Shatter! Inspired by Minaj’s unique style, love of bright colors, and her debut album Pink Friday, the Nicki Minaj by OPI promotion will feature an array of bold hues, from neon lime green to pink.
“OPI is so excited to work with Nicki in releasing these six new nail lacquers,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Nicki has taken the hip hop world by storm, but her music is only part of the equation. She’s also become a fashion inspiration, noted for her daring costumes and hair color both on and off the stage.”
Nicki’s eclectic look made including a new hue in OPI’s bestselling Shatter coat a must for this collaboration. The purple Super Bass Shatter (a record-setting purple that "shatters" before your eyes) inspired by graffiti art and works when painted over any dry OPI hue. Adding top coat takes Super Bass Shatter from matte to glossy in seconds.
The line features five nail lacquers in addition to Super Bass Shatter, ranging from fantastic pink, rainbow confetti glitter and charcoal sparkle hues to two green shades in lime and teal:
Pink Friday
Kick off the weekend with this pop! of bubblegum pink.
Metallic 4 Life
This charcoal sparkle flies with the stars in the skies.
Save Me
I drove for miles just to find this silver-rainbow glitter.
Fly
I came to win, to fight…and to wear this aqua.
Did It On ‘Em
A lusty little lacquer that loves the “lime”-light.
Nicki Minaj by OPI nail lacquers contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application. This limited edition promotion will be available beginning January 2012 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

New OPI Designer Series 2011 - DS Bold and DS Temptation Swatches and Review
DS Tempation - Bright purple glitter with scattered blue microglitter in a blue-purple base. This is a thick formula and only 2 coats were needed to make it opaque. It's not as thirsty as I've seen some glitter. I needed 2 applications of topcoat to smooth things out.
DS Bold - Bright pink glitter in a rosey base that combines to give it a shimmering rosey glow. The formula was thinner than Temptation and required 3 coats.
Both of the glitters are eye catching which is probably due to their super sparkly-ness. Their formulas contain diamond dust which gives them extra shine. Application was smooth for both glitters and they built up quite nicely without being too bulky. DS Temptation needed 2 coats and DS bold needed 3 coats. They dried matte and needed a quick top coat to give it a good gloss. Two applications were required to smooth the surface. Overall both glitters are quite beautiful but DS Temptation is my favorite!
OPI DS polishes are available for purchase now at JcPenney, Dillards, Ulta, TradeSecrete and other fine retails that sale OPI Products.

Halloween Mani 6 - Fabulous Nail Stickers
Sorry for the subpar results. I think I'm pretty good at applying nails stickers but I couldn't get these on quite right. You're supposed to blow dry them first to soften the adhesive and then apply. I was rushing so maybe I should try them again when I'm not in a hurry. They have a similar thickness to minx stickers and they're supposed last to at least a week.
Here's an example of what the sticker sheet looks like. They're suppppppper long and enough for 2-3 applications if you have short nails. The biggest one is large enough to put on your toe.
These stickers are so cute. I'm a little sad about the way they came out but I'll try them again before Halloween is over.

Halloween Mani 2 - Happy Pumpkin
This is very simple and easy to do. For base colors I used Revlon Tangerine and Essie Marshmallow. Both colors are lovely but I stopped counting coats at 5, lol. I stamped with the happy pumpkin from Bundle Monster (BM224) then added Uninhibited on top of the orange. Uninhibited is very thick! I made the mistake of using full coverage on the pointer finger. For the others I dabbed the glitter on and you can actually see the orange underneath.

NOTW: Nails of The Week
Color Club - Wild At Heart. A long time lemming I got recently. Gorgeous color but I was slightly disappointed with the holo effect. I'm not sure if this is a dud or not???
Revlon - Carbonite. I drove so far out of the way to find this one and then I saw it yesterday at Big Lots for $1.50, lol. I'm not sure how I feel about Carbonite. It's kind of dull in my honest opinion.
Born Pretty Purple Crackle Polish
The color is pretty but the crackles are not consistent. It could be user error because I put it over wet polish instead of dry. I prefer the bigger crackles that allow the gold to show through so I'll have to try it again over wet polish to see the true crackle effect.
