Revlon Glitter Swatches Fall 2011

Have you heard that Revlon produced a few hot glitters for the Fall? Well it's true and I had a chance to pick up a couple of the beauties. A pink glitter that's tame enough to wear to work, sign me up! But first I'll share my second favorite from the collection.

Blue Mosaic is like Charla on steroids. It has a clear base and its packed with small teal glitter, and mid-sized silver, teal and green hex glitter. I used 2 coats over 1 coat of Sinful Colors San Francisco.

My favorite from the collection is
Starry Pink. It has a milky-pink base and its packed with small and medium silver hex glitter. The glitter effects is not as prominent here because it gets lost under the milky base. I like that its a mild glitter and may be work appropriate for some. I used 1 coat over Maybelline Pink Twirl. If you prefer a power glitter you can load up the nail with multiple coats :)

I left behind Facets of Fuschia, the Lippmann dupe, but it may hold you over if you've been lemming Bad Romance. You can find these beauties at Target.

  3. I just bought all the glitters (is there really only 3??). I think I'm going to apply Starry Pink first. I'm really excited about the blue one, which looks gorgeous on your nails by the way!

  5. @Trixie Thanks so much. You're too kind!

@Emily. LOL. I've done that before when I'm shopping with my girls. I get so distracted and forget what I came to the store for. I hope you find them!

@Alexisaurus. I only swatched Blue Mosaic and wore Starry Pink which was not too bad to remove. I only used 1 coat though.

@Angie. There were only 3 glitters at my location and 5-6 cremes. Hope you like Starry Pink it's fab!

I follow your blog now for a pretty long time and maybe you followed mine on Melaniesnailpolish (The Color Palette), but I moved to a new blog that fits my ideas. Maybe you would like to take a look at www.thecolorpaletteblog.blogspot.com
Maybe I see you there :)

  19. Thanks so much for the sweet comments everyone!

@Beachgal hope you find them soon. I found them in on a bottom shelf which I though was weird.

@KarenD I can't wait to see your swatches. I had glitter on the brain so I skipped over the others, lol.

@Irishenchantment. I have 3 polishes similar to FoF so I left it behind. I debated on it a few minutes though.

@QueenoftheNail. I agree. Revlon made a few pretties this year.

@RMCandlelight. Hope you found them. I was surprised they had them in my area. We get things so late.

    @Cara & Beautiful Nails. Thank you :)

@Cristina. Starry Pink is my fav also. I think I can wear it a lot without drawing too much attention to my nails. It's hard to find a glitter you can pull off in corporate america.

@Melanie. Thanks I'll see you there.

  21. @Clutchez You're welcome. I like that it's not too over the top for work. Happy hunting!

  22. I really like Starry Pink - it's nice and subtle. I think I'll probably pick it up and maybe Facets of Fushia. While Blue Mosaic is a color that would normally be more my style, it just doesn't do it for me for some reason.

  23. @Sarah. I saw a swatch of FoF yesterday and now I want to go back and get it, lol. I think BM looks better over black, at least that's how I'll wear it most.
