OPI Neons Collection 2014 - Swatches and Review

Hey everyone! Today I want to share the OPI Neons with you.

Put A Coat On!
If you like it then you should have Put A Coat On It! For whatever reason I kept thinking about Beyonce when I read this name, LOL. For the neon collection OPI created a white base to use underneath to make them "pop". Here it is alone with 2 thick coats. A pretty white that would wear well without being polished.

Hotter Than You Pink
One of the stunners in the collection. Gorgeous pink neon that flashes a light purple/violet under lighting. It also has a slight shimmer not visible to observers. The formula is thin, as you would expect from a neon, so it required 3 coats. But it's gorgeous so definitely worth the time and effort.

Down To The Core-Al
Coral cutie opaque in only two coats. It also has the pearl-esque shimmer found in Hotter Than You Pink, but the formula is more "thick".

Juice Bar Hopping
A shade brighter than Core-Al and obviously more orange. It doesn't have the pearl-esque shimmer found in the two above, but is more of a traditional neon creme. No frills just beauty. Still only needed 2 coats over white.

Life Gave Me Lemons
And I'm making Lemonade! I just love this color in the collection. Gorgeous bright lime neon creme that looks more yellow under lighting. Almost opaque in 1 coat. This color screams summer!

You Are So Outta Lime!
An interesting choice for a neon.  I'm not sure how to describe this color. It's almost a Kelly green with a hint of sea green, or maybe a neon mint. Whatever the case, the color is amazing. I used 2 coats to showcase this subtle beauty.

Push & Pur-Pull
Since the color is dark, I wasn't sure if I would need a base coat, but I did notice a difference between the two applications. Without the base, the polish creates a red-wine colored gelly finish. With the base the polish appears more purple.  The formula tended to smudge when applied over the base but without the base coat I noticed less smudging. The picture below is 3 coats over the white base.

Overall I really enjoyed the collection. Although this is a collection of neons there are definitely some "wear anywhere" polishes in the collection. The polishes are a fun way to brighten your nails for the summer but not overwhelmingly vivid as neons can be. If you love to play in colors, then you'll love this collection! Although they are neons, they don't scream look at me, but you'll definitely get noticed wearing these shades. My favorites from the collection are: Hotter Than You Pink, Life Gave Me Lemons and You Are So Outta Lime!
