Catherine Arley #674

Hello everyone. How are you doing tonight? I'm so happy I just finished two tests and now I have some free time to relax. It's definitely gonna be a TV Night for me. My brain cells need some rest and relaxation!

Here's a mani I did back in February. I'm not sure why but I originally didn't like the color. I think I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't a linear holo, but when I look back at the picture I notice how beautiful it is. Has that ever happened to you? Sometimes you don't know a good thing when its staring you in the face =)

Catherine Arley #674. Five coats.

And here she is compared to China Glaze 2Nite.

CG - Pointer & Middle, CA - Ring & Pinky

That's all for now. Hopefully the sun will pay me a visit soon so that I can post more holos!

  1. ive noticed with the holo a milky base coat works so darn good, and even the sheer one they can build up with 2 or 3 coats.nice post im getting some CA holos

  2. It's very pretty! I think in nail art it might be better than 2nite for its "not-as-smooth" holo effect, what do you think? Have you tried it already? 2nite looks so perfect most of the time it's almost metal-like when applied as smaller details on the nail.

    That reminds me I have photos of my latest 2nite NOTD yet to post! Holos are so gorgeous when it shines and the photos always amaze me.

    I wish you a relaxing night - and lots of sun so we see more holos from you ;)

  5. @Aaminah's Mom. I agree. I needed some type of a base coat with this. I really don't like to use more than 3 coats.

    @Doo. Thanks so much. I haven't tried nail art on a holo, besides stamping. I've seen it done beautifully but I have yet to come up with anything.

    @Cs1993. Thanks :)

    So weird I just posted about a franken that looks just like this ... okay slightly less holo, but still the blue is dead on.

    Damn 5 coats!!! enough to drive you nuts, maybe that is why you were slightly peeved at this polish lol

  10. I've definitely had polishes that I've been "meh" about at first wearing but really liked the second time around. I'm getting my first Catherine Arley in a swap soon and can't wait to try it.

  12. I like this, its more turquoise than true blue (like the ChG). And yes, I have revisited a color I thought was meh and found a whole new respect for it. Weird, isn't it? I'm beginning to add some of these Catherine Arley's to my lemming/wish list.
