Nubar White Polka Dot
Today I'm rockin' Nubar White Polka Dot. My first Nubar ever, yay! I don't know what I've been waiting on, I guess I don't like to buy as much polish online as I do in person. I had to have this one after I saw the cute swatches on Body&Soul. They also have a black version called Black Polka Dot (very creative I know, ha ha). I didn't get that one because I have Uninhibited and I think they're similar. I almost forgot but I had to purchase this one off Ebay because I couldn't find it on Nubar's website.
For this mani I used one thin coat of White Polka Dot over Sally Hansen Sequin Scandal. WPD contains white hex glitter and tiny holographic glitter that goes from white to blue. The formula is quite thick which I guess is needed to suspend the glitter. It really jazzed up Sequin Scandal which was a lot darker than I expected. Overall I think this mani turned out quite cute. My only complaint is that my bottles is 1/5 gone after two manis.

Color Club Foiled Collecton - Fall 2011 Swatches and Review
Cold Metal a bright royal blue.
I used 2 coats of polish for each color and no topcoat. They applied nicely and dried relatively quickly. Lumen-Icecent and Antiquated had lines when applied but I was able to smooth most of them out. Hot Like Lava, Lumen-Icecent and Cold Metal are my favorites. I may have a duplicate of Cold Metal in my stash but I still love it. It reminds me of OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It but its a little brighter. Since they're all foils they should be great for stamping. I think these will wear great over the Holidays when you want to add an extra something to your mani!

Dusting off my Konad
I used 1 coat of Wet N' Wild black then stamped with China Glaze Metallic Muse. The glitter is by LA Girl Glitter Addict - Nostalgic. The image plate actually isn't Konad, it's from Dashica's Beauty, Big Sdp A Image Plate. It's hard to see the detail but I put one piece of glitter in the middle of each flower.
I love how it turned out. I did make a couple of mistakes but the great thing about stamping over black was that I could paint right over the mistake and try it again.
And here's my daughter's art work. She wanted me to share it with you all. It's a nail polish bottle if you couldn't tell. I think I'm rubbing off on her :)
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

Sally Hansen Fall 2011 Collection - Review and Swatches
Mousseline. Perfect work neutral, a soft white with a ceramic hue. It makes my nails look like porcelain which I love. The only problems is that I needed 4 thin coats for complete coverage.
Bewitched (Outdoors). Pretty eggplant creme. It's very dark but almost black indoors.
Overall the polishes applied well in either 2-4 coats. Most of the line are cremes so there may be duplicates available. Some of the formulas were a bit thin as noted above while the other were better and only required 2-3 coats. My favorites from the collection are: Bewitched, Mousseline, Dorien Gray and Green Tea.
I don't have the exact release date but the collection will be available soon.

Essence Nail Stickers
Last night I played around with the only the pinkie to get an idea of the application, how well they would stick and to determine the need for a topcoat. I read on Parokeets that heat would help with application so I applied a little fire to them for a second. The heat melted the sticker and gave it a good grip when applied.
I just finished the rest of my nails today. They turned out much better than expected and I might even wear these tomorrow if they're still on. My daughter helped apply them by holding down the edge near the cuticle while I stretched out the sticker and then rubbed it with a cuticle pusher. I applied a thick coat of Poshe to seal the edges and ends. The down side is that they are a little too small for my nails but I made due with the stickers I had. For my thumb I used two stickers, lol. It looks kinda of weird but I don't think it'll be noticed much. I didn't get a lot of gathering (I think the heat helped with that) except on the thumb where I think the polish got underneath the sticker. Overall these took a lot of effort to apply and may last a day or two. I'm not sure if they're still available. I purchased them from Ulta for about $2.50 a few months ago but haven't seen them since.

Sally Hansen Spring 2012 Fashion Week - Sneak Peek (Press Release)
COMPLETE SALON MANICURE
LIMITED EDITION SPRING 2012 DESIGNER NAIL COLOR COLLECTIONS
FROM SALLY HANSEN
THINK: Trend-setting spring polishes, hot off the runway.
WHAT THEY ARE: A designer spring wardrobe for your nails. Nail leader Sally Hansen took New York Fashion Week by storm, joining forces with Tracy Reese, Prabal Gurung, and Alexander Wang to create exclusive nail colors to complement each of their runway collections. Sally Hansen’s limited edition fall collections put exclusive runway nail looks at your fingertips.
The designers looked to Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure to create their custom colors. Complete Salon Manicure is an all-in-one formula that combines the components of a professional salon manicure—base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, rich color and top coat in a single multi-tasking polish. Backstage Beauty fixture and nail expert, Jin Soon Choi, created the manicures at each of the three shows.
Tracy Reese joined forces with Sally Hansen for the twelfth consecutive season to create seven bold shades that mirror the designer’s relaxed, romantic spring aesthetic. On the runway, models wore Complete Salon Manicure in Temptation.

Prabal Gurung’s three-color Complete Salon Manicure collection features eye-catching brights and creamy pale hues with an edge that reflects the designer’s spring collection inspired by Nobuyashi Araki’s photographic series, “Sensual Flower.”On Prabal Gurung’s fall runway, models sported Loves-Me-Not, a deep plum.

Alexander Wang enlisted Sally Hansen for a first-time collaboration to create a clean, natural-looking runway nail to offset his spring collection which channels a tropical speed racer using perforation and lasering. Models wore Parchment, a sheer nude Complete Salon Manicure shade on the runway—the perfect accent to Wang’s downtown cool looks.
