St. Patrick's Day Manicure

I can't believe its March already. The year is flying by so fast and before you know it St. Patrick's Day will be here. I'm not Irish, but I enjoy celebrating in the festivities with green popcorn, food and drinks!

Today I have a simple St. Patrick's mani to share. For the base I used Zoya Suvi, a beautiful dark emerald green. Then I highlighted the tips with a gold striper and stamped with the four-leaf clover from M22.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Few Valentine Inspired Manis

Yay! I finally got a chance to post a few pics. I'll be really busy again this week so thought I would combine all of my pics into one post. Most of them are Valentine's like manis.

The first was done using Shirley image plate A15. This is my first time trying out her image plates and the designs are really feminine which I like. I stamped with SH insta-dry Racin' Red.

This was done using the letter image plates along with the "Love" stamp from Chez-Delaney D-series D24. I almost didn't post because I couldn't get a good picture of the mani.

Here I randomly placed a few Klean Colors hearts over WnW White and CG Fairy Dust. I don't have the exact name of the polish because I had to decant the hearts from the bottle. The top got stuck and I had to cut it off, lol.

My last and favorite mani was also done using the Shirley image plates B09. I almost didn't buy this one but I'm glad I did. I stamped over Nicole by Opi Sheer Fun.

I hope you enjoyed the pics. It's a beautiful day out and the last thing I want to do is study, but I only have one more week until Spring Break! Talk to you then.

Sylish Blogger Award & Valentine Mani

I was tagged with the Stylish Blogger Award!!! First I would like to say thank you to all of the following ladies:

MJ from JustSomeNailsbyMJ
Morgan from Pass the Polish Please
Dolly from A Day in the Life of Dollface
LadyLash from No Naked Nails
Loodie from Loodie Loodie Loodie
Angeles from Jugando Con Mis Unas
SarahLouise from SpellBounding Nails
Shadow from ShadowNails

Second, I would like to apologizes for taking so long to post this! My life is turned upside down when school begins. Yay for a snow day and time to have some fun :)

So the rules for this award are:
Thank and link the person who gave you the award.
Write 7 random facts about you.
Give this award to 15 other Bloggers and notify them about it!

7 random facts.....................hmmmm, well here goes:

1. I'm obsessed with image plates! I want them all. I can map a line from here to downtown with all of the plates I own.

2. I love exercising and staying fit (at least in the summertime). Once the cold weather hits, I'm a total slacker. I barely have the energy to get out of bed. I can just sit home all day and eat twinkies and drink coffee.

3. Speaking of coffee, I'm a total coffee junkie. I drink 5-6 cups a day and more when I have an exam.

4. I get 5-6 hours of sleep a night. My school schedule is hectic and throws my sleep cycle off, then I'm miserable for 4 months. If I don't get at least 7 hours of sleep I'm a total crank monster.

5. I've learned how to take an exam on only 3 hours of sleep. I read that you should never do that, but I'm always afraid of failing so I go over the material over and over. My motto is "Go to sleep and wake-up with an F"!

6. I love romance movies. With all this free time on my hands I just may watch Pride & Prejudice. It's one of my favorites :)

7. I love projects and trying new things. DH always wonders what I'm going to do next............

.......and here's a Valentine themed mani to match the Award.

Lastly, I'm supposed to tag 15 people with this award. But how can I choose only 15 from so many great bloggers! So if you're reading this, you've been tagged!!!!

Top 10 Polishes for 2010

Hello Dear Readers,

Here are a few of my top picks for the year. With so many to choose from it was difficult narrowing it down to only a few. Since today is the last day of 2010, I want to thank you for contributing and being a part of this blog. I've had a great year interacting and learning from you. May your New Year be great! Have a safe and fun night!

xoxo,

Kathy

Party Hearty! It was actually a tie between this one and GEMs. Both are great glitters but I liked this picture better (ha ha)

Charla
. Amazing teal-green. Excuse my VNL, this was before I knew what VNL was ;)

Okay, okay. This is not a polish but I just had to sneak it in here. Yall know I love foils! Here's one of my favorites :)

Space Cadet
. Need I say more :)

Prancer. One of my best finds for $1.99. WnW please make more of these great glitters!

Elle's Spell. My answer to Bad Fairy. Its everything I wanted Bad Fairy to be. Not that I expected it to be a flakie, but I wanted it to make my nails glow a golden red, like they were on fire.

See what I mean?

You can also layer it over other colors for more amazing flaki-ness.

Laser. One of the most amazing blues. See it glows!

Hidden Treasures
. The polish that actually was hidden for many, unfortunately. It flashes pink over Laser. Can you say drop dead gorgeous!

Revvvolution. I like to call this one corporate chic. It reminds me of wool trousers I'd wear to work. Very professional with but with an edge.

Holographic. Last but definitely not least. One of the most beautiful polishes I own. (I usually don't do the dainty hand pose because my hands aren't dainty, but this one turned out okay, lol.)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Talk to you next year ;)

Halloween Marble

So I started school this week (sigh) and I'm already counting down to my next break. I had an unexpected quiz on Monday and it was a terrible way to start my first day back. Anyways, here's a Halloween mani that I hope brightens your day. I used Zoya Jancyn and Wet n Wild Blackmail.

Thanks for stopping by!

4th of July Nails

It's getting close to the fourth and I wanted to try out a couple of mani's before the big day. The first one below is really easy and was done using American Apparel "Downtown LA" and OPI "Ogre The Top Blue". Simply paint a diagonal line and place foil stars over the line.

The lines don't have to perfect because the stars will cover them. My only complaint is that the star were a little scratchy. The next time I'll apply two 2 top coats instead of one.
_______________________________________________________________

I wasn't totally happy with the first mani so I tried Konading. This was fun to do but I had a little trouble with the Konad blue stamping polish. It was really "runny" and the some of the stamps were transparent. I then switched up and used Ogre The Top Blue which worked much better and gave a more opague stamp.

Products Used:
Base - Sally Hansen White On
Blue Stars - Konad Princess Blue & Ogre The Top Blue
Red Stars - Konad Red
Foil Stars - Red & Silver

The thumb is stamped with Ogre The Top Blue and the index finger with Konad blue. Ogre appears to have a little green in it and gave a much better stamp (except the first one on the thumb, but I messed that one up).
Here's the final result and I hope you like it. If you haven't already, please register for my giveaway. Today (June 30th) is the last day! The deadline is 10pm Central Time (US).

Thanks for dropping by!

Memorial Day Nails

Hello everyone. I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I was on family vacation last week and got a little behind. I know I'm super late but I wanted to post my Memorial Day mani. I was attempting to create the American Flag. It came out okay but not as crisp as I hoped for.

DD also wanted her nails done. I used one of the new StudioM's I found.
