Hair & Nails Mani

I was browsing the net and ran across an animation of a girl with pretty hair and nails. I tried to capture it with my mani but it was a fail. I couldn't figure out how to make this mani magic so I left it alone. This is one of my favorite stamping images but the girl looks a little sad to me.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Just a quick post to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!!!

And here's my Valentine mani. This image plate was very difficult to work with but I like the results. I never knew what people meant when they said a plate was engraved too deeply. I had to scrape the images 2-3 times before I got a good stamp, and don't even think about cleaning the plate with cotton balls. You may as well throw it into a plate of acetone :)

I guess the problems were worth it because the mani turned out great.

I hope all your Valentine wishes came true today. Thanks for stopping by!

A Few Valentine Inspired Manis

Yay! I finally got a chance to post a few pics. I'll be really busy again this week so thought I would combine all of my pics into one post. Most of them are Valentine's like manis.

The first was done using Shirley image plate A15. This is my first time trying out her image plates and the designs are really feminine which I like. I stamped with SH insta-dry Racin' Red.

This was done using the letter image plates along with the "Love" stamp from Chez-Delaney D-series D24. I almost didn't post because I couldn't get a good picture of the mani.

Here I randomly placed a few Klean Colors hearts over WnW White and CG Fairy Dust. I don't have the exact name of the polish because I had to decant the hearts from the bottle. The top got stuck and I had to cut it off, lol.

My last and favorite mani was also done using the Shirley image plates B09. I almost didn't buy this one but I'm glad I did. I stamped over Nicole by Opi Sheer Fun.

I hope you enjoyed the pics. It's a beautiful day out and the last thing I want to do is study, but I only have one more week until Spring Break! Talk to you then.

Sylish Blogger Award & Valentine Mani

I was tagged with the Stylish Blogger Award!!! First I would like to say thank you to all of the following ladies:

MJ from JustSomeNailsbyMJ
Morgan from Pass the Polish Please

LadyLash from No Naked Nails
Loodie from Loodie Loodie Loodie

SarahLouise from SpellBounding Nails

Second, I would like to apologizes for taking so long to post this! My life is turned upside down when school begins. Yay for a snow day and time to have some fun :)

So the rules for this award are:
Thank and link the person who gave you the award.
Write 7 random facts about you.
Give this award to 15 other Bloggers and notify them about it!

7 random facts.....................hmmmm, well here goes:

1. I'm obsessed with image plates! I want them all. I can map a line from here to downtown with all of the plates I own.

2. I love exercising and staying fit (at least in the summertime). Once the cold weather hits, I'm a total slacker. I barely have the energy to get out of bed. I can just sit home all day and eat twinkies and drink coffee.

3. Speaking of coffee, I'm a total coffee junkie. I drink 5-6 cups a day and more when I have an exam.

4. I get 5-6 hours of sleep a night. My school schedule is hectic and throws my sleep cycle off, then I'm miserable for 4 months. If I don't get at least 7 hours of sleep I'm a total crank monster.

5. I've learned how to take an exam on only 3 hours of sleep. I read that you should never do that, but I'm always afraid of failing so I go over the material over and over. My motto is "Go to sleep and wake-up with an F"!

6. I love romance movies. With all this free time on my hands I just may watch Pride & Prejudice. It's one of my favorites :)

7. I love projects and trying new things. DH always wonders what I'm going to do next............

.......and here's a Valentine themed mani to match the Award.

Lastly, I'm supposed to tag 15 people with this award. But how can I choose only 15 from so many great bloggers! So if you're reading this, you've been tagged!!!!

Michael Jackson Manicure

Here's the Michael Jackson mani I promised. It almost didn't happen because my little angel had a fever and demanded that I do her nails first. So I did a super fast mani using Chez-Delaney 08 & 09. The glitter is China Glaze Fairy Dust and Nicole by OPI Scandal Secrets & Sparkle (gray). Hope you like it.

Chez Delaney D09 Michael Jackson Image Plate

My study-induced delirium forced me to think it would be a good idea to stamp Michael Jackson all over my study notes at 2AM. Here's the Michael Jackson image plate, D09, from Chez-Delaney. I just got my plates and didn't have time to do a full mani so I thought it would be fun to try a few stamps. I was worried the images wouldn't turn out well but they are pretty clear. I can identify almost everyone except the man with the beard. No, not Abe Lincoln, lol. The other man on the left of Michael Jackson.

This was taken in the middle of the night. I'll post better pictures tomorrow.

Holiday Manicure Ideas - I

Here's a super easy mani to get you in the Christmas mood. It's my take on candy canes. It turned out pretty good, but it would look so much better if my nails were small enough to use the BM stripes. I was being lazy and didn't want to freehand them, so I went with the Chez-delaney stripes instead. I followed up with a bow to add a little detail.

Thanks for stopping by. More Holiday manis coming up!!!

Review of Chez Delaney Big Image Plate

As promised, here are the mani's I made using the Chez-Delaney big image plate. I know its the Fall season but I'm just not ready for dark mani's yet. I really do prefer brighter colors :)

Products used: Sally Hansen Golden Cinnabar, stamped with Konad Wine Red.

And here's the second mani. I always wanted to try out the cow design. What do you think?

Products used: Color Club "Where's the Soiree", Konad Wine Red, WnW White (base).
Quick Review: I hope Chez-Delaney doesn't mind that I give a quick review. I won this product in a contest and it was provided to me for free. But I've had a lot of questions about it so here goes.

Dimensions & Design: The plate is approximately 10x12 inches and the metal is similar to other stamping plates. It is attached to a black plastic holder and has images similar to Konad images M44-M81 and S06 (minus M46 & M47).

How does it stamp? The stamping is similar to Konad & other stamping systems. I was being very gentle at first because I didn't want to ruin my design or the image plate. I used on old credit card as I do with my other image plates to avoid scratches. I was able to use the same stamping polishes and the pick-up was the same. The plate is obviously larger than other image plates, so it was great to see all of the images at once.

Overall: It's great for organization because you have one big plate instead of all the individual plates. I liked being able to view all of the images at once. This provided a lot of options which is great if you're a visual person. Or maybe not so great if you're indecisive like me :) The only change I would make is to make the plate a little sturdier. It had a slight flexibility which I did not expect. Overall I think it's a great buy for 56 euros, compared to purchasing all of the plates individually.

I also received an award from Konad Addict. She also has great konadicures and the cutest freehand designs!!! Thank you for this lovely award!!!!

The rules are to pass this along to 15 bloggers. Here are a few blogs I love, in no particular order!

Guess what else? My Chez-Delaney image plate came and I'm SUPER excited!!! My daughter was ill at school yesterday and I left to go pick her up. When I returned it was waiting for me at my door step. I love it when I get surprises. I guess it was not really a surprise because I was expecting it, but it came when I didn't expect it. Does that make since? LOL

Anyways, I'm totally in love with this plate and I had so much fun stamping away yesterday. When DH came home, he smiled because he knew how much this would make me happy. I tried out a few of the images yesterday and they all worked great! I'll post pictures later because I have a paper to do over the weekend. I'm trying to force myself to be disciplined and work on it while my daughter is asleep and hopefully that way I'll be more productive. I'll try to get the stamping photos up later tonight or tomorrow.

Have a great weekend!

Bride of Frankenstein Halloween Mani

Hello! Here's the second mani I promised. I liked the french tip on my last mani and thought it would look great as hair, so I made this Frankenstein manicure, lol. For the face I used Pure Ice Wild Thing (which is fitting). I was originally going to use Damone Roberts but didn't want to waste it. Anyways, here she is. Hope you like it! Stay tuned for more Halloween manis. Have a great night!

Analogous Design

Good morning Sunshines! I wanted to share my bright and sunny analogous manicure I did for Polish Hoarder Disorder's Challenge. If you haven't already check out her site. She has design challenges weekly, which are great if you can't come up with any ideas for your nails. They're also just for fun.

The challenge was to pick three colors that were next to each other on the nail wheel. The colors I choose were red, orange & orange yellow. The colors are a lot darker in real life. My camera couldn't capture the red correctly.

Products used:
Pinky - Konad M35 (butterflies)
Ring - Chez Delaney (butterfly)
Middle - Konad M35 (angel)
Index - Fauxnad M76 (rose)
Orange - Wet n' Wild Sunkist Paradise
Red sponging- Wet n' Wild Cherry Pop
Red stamping - Konad Red

I hope you enjoyed my bright nails. Have a great day!

Chez Delaney Red Roses Manicure

Happy Friday! I wanted to post a quick pic of today's mani and of course my camera died half way through. Luckily I was able to get a few pics.

The image plate I used is from Chez Delaney, plate A12. When I first saw the plate I thought the image was a tree bark but at second glance I believe it's a bouquet of roses. Well at least that's what I'm calling it.

Hope you like it. I'll try to post a few more pics tomorrow. Have a good night!

Thanks for looking :)

China Glaze Neon Sun Rays

Here's a quick mani I did using China Glaze neons. It was originally supposed to be a neon gradient mani but I failed at that so I stamped sun rays on top of it. I used Chez Delaney plate number H5 and CG Flip Flop Fantasy and CG Pink Voltage. I love those name, lol. For stamping I used Konad white & LA Colors LIVE.
