Minnie Mouse Manicure!

Happy Monday! Today I wanted to share a manicure that makes me happy on the most dreaded day of the week. I'm not sure why but yellow is my favorite color and it makes me smile. I was gifted the Mickey Mouse image plate by Thriszha, who's known for her amazing konading skills.

This was one of my long time lemmings so you know I'm ecstatic to own it. I'm not sure if I'm a big kid at heart, or a big kid because I have kids, lol (if you know what I mean).

I used the image plate for the Minne Mouse image and free-handed the face/bow with a dotting tool. The polish is Essence Sun Dancer and the dots were made using Konad M79.

Thanks for stopping buy! Until I polish again...............................

NOTD: Gossip Girl + Nail Junkie

Today I'm wearing Party In the Penthouse which is a beautiful blue from Nicole (by OPI). When I heard the Gossip Girl Collection was on clearance at Target, I ran by to swoop them up. I was a little disappointed when I got home and discovered how close it is to It's Up to You by Nicole.

I also got Spotted which is very similar, if not a dupe, to Sinful Colors Nail Junkie. Spotted was super thin and took 3 coats compared to 1 coat of Nail Junkie.

(Nail Junkie -ring & finger. Spotted - first & middle finger)
These polishes are very beautiful but so close to what I already had. I may give these away to a friend or save them for frankening. If you are lemming them, they can be found at Target for $3.52 in the clearance bin! Sinful Colors are also on sale this week at Walgreens for $99 cents.

Fall Mani + Bonus Rose Mani

Happy Saturday! Hope you all are doing well. I've been really busy this week with studying unfortunately, lol. But I wanted to share a quick Fall mani with you all. The weather has changed so quickly in my area and I must admit I really wasn't ready for the change. But ready or not, Fall is right around the corner, and what better way to brighten it up that with a little nail glitter.

This is Sinful Colors All About You" over 1 coat of Wet N' Wild Black Creme. This was gifted to me by Sweetie and she just started a nail blog. She's another Mom crazy about nails. Check her out.

In other news, DH has recovered from the kidney stone. I think in my last post I stated it was a gallstone (which is in the liver), but it was actually a kidney stone. I may have been suffering from sleep deprivation when I posted that :/ Anyways, he feels so much better and lost about 5lbs which he is happy about. He also surprised me with roses and yummy chocolate covered strawberries.

The roses reminded me of rose foil, so I did the rose-foil mani again. You may remember I did this mani a few months back with longer nails. This is one of my favorite foils.

Speaking of foils, I'm currently tallying the entries from the giveway and I'm more than 2/3 finished. I didn't realize so many of you have never tried foils before, so I'll probably have another giveway featuring them soon. Hopefully I can finishing my excel sheet today and announce the winners later tonight or tomorrow.

And that's all I have for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!

China Glaze Awakening Collection Swatches

Are you ready for a looooooong weekend? I know I am. Unfortunately I have to study but I wanted to share my new pretties with you. I'm totally in love with this collection.

Ick-A-Bod-Y is not icky at all. It's frickin' gorgeous. Who would have thought orange glitter could be so beautiful? Not me, but it works out well in the brown/green base. Definitely my favorite in the collection. This is only 2 coats and I could have stood a 3rd but I'm happy with the outcome :)
Zombie Zest is an army green with golden flakes similar to Orly It's Not Rocket Science but I still love it. It slid onto my nails super easy but required 3 coats and could probably go for a 4th. Still gorgeous and not worth complaining about.
I loved this one so much I had to post 2 pictures. Mummy May I didn't ask my permission to clump on my nails and went on a little lumpy. I'm not mad at her, because what she lacked in smoothness she made up for with beauty. I couldn't stop staring at this purple jelly with purple/pink glitter. Simple yet gorgeous combination.
The collection came in a 4-pack with free Fast Foward Top Coat. If you like glitter just a little bit I recommend you run out and find these bad girls :) They are definitely worth owning!

Gray Color for a Gray Mood

Essence PointBreak was opaque in 2 coats but it only took 1 coat for me to realize I didn't like it. I would love to give this color a good review but it is just so blah to me. I guess I'm affected by the immediate transition, or should I say lack of transition, from Summer to Fall. It was 90 degrees and sunny last week and today there's no sun to be found.

I've been really sad today and this color is not helping at all. I tried to spice it up a bit by adding my favorite, pink, along with a little white for brightness. The weather here has been awful the past few days and DH suggests we move to California to beat the fall blues.........
Speaking of DH, we had to take a trip to the emergency room over the weekend. He had severe abdominal pain which turned out to be a gallstone. Because it was so urgent, I had to take the girls with me and they talked the entire time. I guess after a while it drove DH a little crazy. My oldest daughter felt so bad that when we got home she made him a "Dad Get Better Card". It was the cutest thing I ever saw so I thought I'd share it with you.

In case it didn't come across your screen. She says she hopes he gets better soon and sorry for talking, lol.

..............Here's the outcome of my little experiment. The white and pink helped this color out tremendously.
I also put glitter over the top but I think it was a bit much :(Ulta After Party)
Well that's it for today. I have so much studying to catch up on since I've been managing the girls solo. Until I polish again.........................
